![]() Who knows, maybe Cobalt has made something specifically for drums following their first encounter, maybe the rematch goes differently this time. It's not that I have little faith in what I support, it's that Minotaur really is worth that sort of fear. In my defense, when you support something, the more you get concerned for it, & with that, I can see Cobalt getting screwed up in a dozen ways. I think the rematch may go the same way as last time, with Minotaur ripping off Cobalt's wedgelets or forks (whichever one it chooses) then bullying the durable UK bot around for three minutes. Even so, the Brazilian bull holds too many advantages over its enemy. I support & root for both bots, but I support Cobalt more. Although I do wonder if there will be a time I will get the ALL wrong? Last week was the closest to such. This time around, I got ALL SEVEN OF THEM CORRECT! I didn't get one wrong here. Last week, I only got two of my picks right. Maybe they should have taken a page from Tantrum, who self-righted after it sole flip from Hydra a week ago. Cobalt seemed to have the bull's number until the very end when it was flipped on its back with no self-righter. I have to say, this honor goes to Minotaur. I'm starting to wonder if Matt Spurk should retire this Kraken and bring back the older one, or maybe take a few tips from Quantum. Lucky got in more flips than Hydra did a week ago against Tantrum, though they weren't as high altitude. I actually favored Lucky in this fight, but never had I expected it to be so one-sided. ![]() Sure they both were KO'd (as a result of Copperhead being caught up on Triton's guts), but the match was clearly the snake's. I knew Copperhead had the upper hand in this one, and boy did they deliver with that gutting of Triton. ![]() The team behind Mammoth had more experience. Wasn't much of a fight although it went the way I thought it would. Starchild has also been a dud, and is yet again against Mammoth. I had a feeling this would be a mismatch in the favor of Monsoon, and sure enough it was. Horizon in my opinion isn't an effective design, it seems more or less like a lemon, especially going up against the likes of Monsoon, which had its fun with them and was able to do an easy KO of them. SOMETIMES I'M RIGHT ABOUT IT BEING A MISMATCH: Once again, Claw Viper managed to impress with its speed, although it didn't quite dominate the way I thought it would, I thought that they'd be able to pick up Overhaul more often and drag / carry / HAUL them around. Sure they can be effective against lemons, but not against the more elite bots - though sometimes I do admit they get lucky. I'VE SAID IT BEFORE AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN:įull body spinners just don't cut it in the Battlebox floor. ![]() Another set of fights have ended and time for me to weigh on them: The daily show opens on February, 3rd 2023 in our permanent home at Caesars Entertainment Studios, just yards from the famous Las Vegas Strip.īATTLEBOTS: DESTRUCT-A-THON will be the world’s first daily robotic combat show and is exclusive to Las Vegas.
